Crohn’s disease is an inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). It is a chronic inflammatory disease of the intestines, especially the colon and ileum. One of the main symptoms of Crohn’s disease is stomach pain. The pain is described as cramping and intermittent, and the belly may be sore when touched. The rest of the main symptoms include diarrhea, fever, loss of appetite, weight loss, anemia and small tears in the anus (anal fissures) that may go away, but come back again.
