Athlete’s foot or tinea pedis is a fungal infection that usually starts between toes. It occurs most commonly with people whose feet have become very sweaty while wearing tight fitting shoes.It’s signs and symptoms include a scaly rash that usually causes itching, stinging and burning. It is indeed contagious and can be spread via contaminated floors, towels or clothing.
